Buchanan Capital is a family-owned, boutique investment firm. Founded in 2002 by Gary Buchanan, the firm prides itself on forward thinking asset management, institutional expertise, and thoughtful investment, retirement and financial planning.

Our highly experienced advisors serve individual investors as well as financial institutions, municipalities and retirement funds. Our expertise in institutional investing provides individual clients with a competitive edge.

We believe one of the most important investments is in community. To that end, Gary and Todd Buchanan actively serve on numerous governmental and non-profit boards locally and across Montana.

We also foster close ties with many area non-profits. Our office, housed in the historic Fargo Hotel building in the heart of downtown Billings, frequently serves as the backdrop for fundraising events. Supporting causes that enrich our community is one of our core tenets.
